Almond Can Cause Kidney Stones
In Turkey, where it is customary for even young children to eat almonds, the prevalence of kidney stones is among the highest in the world. Many scientists have concluded that there is a link between the consumption of high-oxalate foods and the formation of calcium oxalate kidney stones. Kidney stones are small, hard mineral deposits that form inside your kidneys. The stones are made of mineral and acid salts. Eating almonds can cause the oxalic acid to steal calcium from the body and to form it into calcium stones in the kidneys.
