Peanuts
1. Peanuts have aflatoxins, which are toxic and highly carcinogenic.
2. Too much aflatoxin exposure is linked to developing liver cancer.
3. Peanuts contain an anti-nutrients known as lectins. Lectins are almost impossible for humans to digest.
4. Non-organic peanuts and peanut products may contain high levels of pesticide residues.
5. Lectins also bind to sugar found on cell membranes, leading to an immune response and inflammation, including rheumatoid arthritis.
6. Peanuts contain phytic acid. Phytate binds minerals and prevent the body from absorbing them.
7. Peanuts can cause cholesterol issues, allergies and hinder children’s growth.
