Cranberries contain a high amount oxalates. This oxalate acid in cranberries block the absorption of essential minerals in the body, especially calcium. In result, the substance bind the calcium into balls, and causes health issues throughout the body.

People with diabetes should never drink cranberry juice. According to the cranberry juice manufacturers, cranberries are very sour for people to eat them naturally. In result, the companies have to load the juice up with tons of artificial processed sugars to make it sweet. This can cause the blood sugar to skyrocket in diabetics.

6. Cranberries Can Weaken The Bones

The oxalic acid and calcium issue in the body can lead to weak bones. Calcium is the primary mineral responsible for keeping the bones healthy and strong and avoiding the risk of osteoporosis.

7. Can Cause Stomach Issues

The National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine, has reported that cranberry juice may cause an upset stomach and diarrhea. These issues may be do to the high contents of unnatural artificial sugar and acid.
